How It Works

Why are we giving away DJ decks?

We run engaging, accessible DJ lessons and workshops for children in local schools. We believe music education should be remixed for the next generation.

We’ve seen first-hand how DJing can boost confidence and develop a young person's communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills – especially for kids who don’t always connect with traditional instruments.

To help more young people get access to this, we’re gifting free DJ decks to schools in your area – and we need parents like you to help us reach the right teachers.

It has been wonderful to have NextGen teaching DJing at Bishop Luffa. They’ve inspired many of our students and they all really enjoy the lessons. We have 2 students taking GCSE Music and are offering DJing as their Performing Component. This has enabled us to offer GCSE Music to a wider audience. Many thanks NextGen!
— Ms J. Bowen-Melfi, Head of Music, Bishop Luffa School

Hi, I’m Deen, the founder of NextGen Music. With over a decade of DJing experience across stages and studios, I started NextGen Music to share the art of DJing directly with schools. Rated five stars by students and parents alike, our workshops have helped hundreds of young people discover a new way to love music through a fun, accessible curriculum.

Our approach goes beyond teaching the technical skills of DJing where we aim to inspire confidence, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for music. Our curriculum has been designed to meet the AQA, OCR and Eduqas GCSE Music examination criteria and to ensure that each student leaves with valuable skills and a sense of accomplishment. I look forward to bringing this unique experience to your school and opening up new musical possibilities for your students.
